Elaine Tarsh BACP Accredited Counsellor

Welcome to my website.  I am a Relate qualified BACP accredited counsellor who cares passionately about people and relationships.  I see counselling as a vocation and it is important to me to make a difference to the people I am working with.

I have worked as a counsellor for many years, counselling couples and individuals, both in the charity sector and from my private practice in Radlett, Hertfordshire.  I also undertake GP referral work covering a number of issues including anxiety, depression and self-esteem.

I keep my counselling rates competitive and offer an initial assessment session for £40.  All counselling sessions are typically 50 minutes, unless by prior arrangement.  I usually meet clients on a weekly or fortnightly basis, but I try to be flexible if this is not always convenient.

I know from experience that deciding to seek counselling can be challenging and I aim to make the process as accessible and comfortable as possible.    As an integrative counsellor, I am able to draw upon a number of different psychological approaches to meet the needs of clients.

I can also work together with a male counselling colleague to offer couples both individual and couple therapy. Working together helps to create an environment where neither client feels threatened on a gender basis and helps to maintain neutrality.  In addition, we bring a wealth of different but valuable experience to the counselling room.

Please take a look at my website.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to pick up the phone for a chat.  If I'm not available please leave a message, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
