Single-Session Relationship Therapy
One session. One issue. Focused support when you need it most.
Whether you’re feeling distant, stuck in familiar patterns, or facing a specific challenge in your relationship, this one-off session offers a focused space to pause and think together.
In a single 90-minute session, we’ll explore what’s going on between you, clarify what each of you is hoping for, and look for small, practical ways to begin moving things forward. This isn’t about solving everything at once. It’s about creating some movement, understanding, and a clearer sense of direction.
Is this approach right for you as a couple?
This format may suit you if:
- You’re struggling with one particular issue and want space to reflect on it together.
- You’re not ready for ongoing therapy but want to talk with someone impartial.
- You’ve had therapy before and would value a one-off check-in.
- You’ve hit a crossroads or a difficult moment and need help finding a constructive way forward.
- You’re trying to make a shared decision but feel stuck.
This session will not fix everything, but it can offer a safer space to talk, open up communication, and bring some clarity.
What to expect
This 90-minute session focuses on a single issue or concern. The aim isn’t to resolve all your relationship difficulties, but to support a thoughtful conversation that feels contained and productive.
Step 1: Free 15-minute introductory call
A short call with one or both partners to see whether this format feels like a good fit, and to talk briefly about what you’d like to focus on.
Step 2: Pre-session reflections
If we go ahead, I’ll send you both a brief set of questions to help you reflect beforehand and clarify what you’re hoping for. This helps us use the session well and makes sure both voices are present from the start.
In the session we will:
- Clarify the issue you want to work on.
- Explore each of your perspectives and what feels most important.
- Notice what feels possible or helpful right now.
- Agree on a few simple, manageable steps to try.
You’ll leave with a sense of direction, shared understanding, and some practical ideas to build on.
A focused space for clarity and connection
This is not a substitute for longer-term therapy, but it can offer:
- A pause in a difficult moment.
- A neutral space to have a different kind of conversation.
- A starting point for change, or a way back into therapy after a break.
Some couples use this as a one-off reset. Others come back for another session later. Either is fine.
How to book
- Arrange a free 15-minute introductory call.
- If it feels right, book your 90-minute session.
- Complete a short pre-session reflection, ideally at least seven days beforehand.
- Attend your session and leave with a clearer sense of what’s next.
Fee
The cost for this service is £250. This includes a 90-minute session, pre-session preparation, and a tailored resource pack afterwards.
